David has spent 20+ years building brands for companies ranging from venture-stage startups to Fortune 500s.
He made his name as an ACD on Jeep at BBDO Detroit, helping position the brand as the leading off-road vehicle on the market. He went on to lead integrated work for Samsung, growing the brand's social audience from 1 million to 11 million followers in a year and directing a $300 million campaign that earned an Effie. Along the way, he's led creative for Sony, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sprint, and State Farm. His work has been recognized by the Effies, Ad Age, Adweek, and Communication Arts.
Most recently, as Executive Creative Director at Second Nature, David built and led an in-house creative team through a rapid-growth period — repositioning the company from a collection of products into a unified platform brand, and leading a simultaneous sister-company rebrand alongside it.
What ties two decades of work together is a belief he carries into Crusoe: you don't need an army to create great work, you need resourcefulness, conviction and the willingness to brave the unknown. That's the work David set out to build when he co-founded Crusoe with his partner, Jason Uzarraga.

Jason has spent his career at the intersection of design and strategy, building campaign platforms that hold together across every channel they touch.
As an Associate Creative Director supporting multiple agency partners, he led integrated work for brands including Toyota, McDonald's, Ascension Wisconsin, Anchor Brewing, and KOOL — developing social ecosystems, content strategies, and creative systems built to scale. His background spanning design and development gives him an unusually complete view of how ideas become executions, and how executions become results.
What distinguishes Jason's approach is structural thinking applied to creative problems. He doesn't just art direct — he builds the system the work lives in, ensuring brand voice stays consistent wherever it lives.
